Nancy Gomes Elementary School History

Nancy Gomes was born in Lovelock and was a mother of three children. She was a School Board member from 1972-1976 and a legislator for the state of Nevada. She believed in people and was an activist on behalf of education, minorities, the handicapped, the elderly and the poor. Nancy battled cancer for the last eleven years of her life but never stopped fighting for the causes in which she believed.
